Premise

The first season follows Shivanya, an icchadhari naagin who can take human form, as she sets out to avenge the murder of her parents, who guarded a sacred Naagmani. Disguised as a human woman, she enters the lives of those responsible for the killing while navigating a complicated romance with Ritik, a member of the very family she targets. Adaa Khan plays Shesha, a rival serpent. Subsequent seasons retain the central motif of serpent-shape-shifters and revenge, but introduce new characters, settings and arcs.

Industry trackers reported it as the top-rated Hindi GEC show across multiple weeks of its run, and it was credited with reviving the supernatural genre on Indian prime time. Its success made the weekend fiction slot commercially viable for general entertainment channels and triggered a wave of fantasy and supernatural shows on competing networks.
