Overview
Munger University is a state university located in Munger, Bihar. It was established on 18 March 2018 through the bifurcation of Tilka Manjhi Bhagalpur University, Bhagalpur, with the aim of catering to the higher education needs of the Munger region.
The university began its academic operations from the 2018–19 academic year. Following its establishment, several constituent and affiliated colleges that were earlier under Tilka Manjhi Bhagalpur University came within its jurisdiction.
As a state university, Munger University offers undergraduate and postgraduate programmes through its constituent and affiliated colleges, in line with the framework prescribed for universities established by the Government of Bihar.
