Ganguly rose to prominence on Indian television with the role of Shaina in Kaahin Kissii Roz, an Ekta Kapoor production that aired on Star Plus between 2001 and 2004. The performance brought her wider recognition on the Hindi general entertainment circuit.
In 2004, she played the title role in Saaksshi. She was later seen in the third season of Jamai Raja on Zee TV, where she portrayed Payal Walia. She has subsequently appeared as Ira Sharma in the series Janani – AI Ki Kahani.
