Meiyang Chang

Meiyang Chang (born 6 October 1982) is an Indian actor, television host, singer and trained dentist. He first came into the public eye as a finalist on the third season of the singing reality show Indian Idol, and went on to build a career across Hindi cinema, television and the streaming space.

Background

Chang trained as a dentist before turning to a full-time career in entertainment. His transition from dentistry to performing began with his participation in televised music competitions in the late 2000s.

Television and reality shows

Chang rose to prominence as one of the five finalists on the third season of Indian Idol. He later participated in the dance-based reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 4, which he won. He also took part in the stunt-based reality show Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 6, finishing as the first runner-up.

Film

Chang made his acting debut with the Yash Raj Films production Badmaash Company. He subsequently appeared in Detective Byomkesh Bakshy!, Sultan and Bharat. In 2024, he had a brief role in the thriller Ulajh.

Web series

His streaming work includes the series Asur, Undekhi and the anthology Modern Love Mumbai.
