Overview

Mehboob Alam (Nepali: मेहबूब आलम), born 31 August 1981, is a Nepalese cricketer. An all-rounder, he bats left-handed and bowls left-arm fast. He made his debut for Nepal in a match against Japan in November 2000.

Mehboob is recognised in the Guinness World Records for single-handedly bowling out an opposing side. During the 2008 ICC World Cricket League Division Five in Jersey, he took 10 wickets for 12 runs in 7.5 overs against Mozambique, who were dismissed for 19. The performance is regarded as the best bowling figures recorded in a limited-overs cricket match.
