Overview
Manik Saha (born 8 January 1953) is an Indian politician serving as the Chief Minister of Tripura and leader of the house in the Tripura Legislative Assembly. He represents the Town Bordowali Assembly constituency, a seat he has held since 26 June 2022.
Saha was a member of the Rajya Sabha from Tripura in 2022, a position he held until assuming the office of Chief Minister. Prior to this, he served as the President of the Bharatiya Janata Party's Tripura unit from 2020 to 2022, leading the party's organisational activities in the state.
He has been associated with the Bharatiya Janata Party since 2016. Before joining the BJP, Saha was a member of the Indian National Congress.
