Significance
As one of India's first universities dedicated to journalism and communication, MCNUJC has played a notable role in producing media professionals and educators for the Hindi-language press, broadcasting and digital media sectors. Its emphasis on Hindi-medium media education distinguishes it from many comparable institutions where instruction is predominantly in English, and it has contributed to the institutionalisation of media studies in central India.
