Maharishi Markandeshwar University, Mullana (often abbreviated MMU, Mullana) is a private deemed-to-be university located in Mullana, in the Ambala district of Haryana, India. The university offers programmes across engineering, medicine, dentistry, nursing, physiotherapy, pharmacy, law, management, and the basic sciences, and is part of the Maharishi Markandeshwar group of educational institutions named after the Hindu sage Markandeya.

Overview

The institution traces its origins to engineering and medical colleges established at Mullana under the Maharishi Markandeshwar trust. It was subsequently conferred deemed university status by the Government of India under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956, allowing it to award its own degrees.
