Overview
The institution traces its origins to engineering and medical colleges established at Mullana under the Maharishi Markandeshwar trust. It was subsequently conferred deemed university status by the Government of India under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956, allowing it to award its own degrees.
