Overview

Maharaja Agrasen University is a private university situated at the HIMUDA Education Hub, near the village of Kallujhanda in Barotiwala, District Solan, Himachal Pradesh, India. It is one of several private institutions established in the state's southern industrial and education corridor.

The university was founded by Nand Kishore Garg in 2013. It was established under the Maharaja Agrasen University (Establishment and Regulation) Act, 2012 (Act No. 15 of 2013), enacted by the Government of Himachal Pradesh, which provides the statutory basis for its functioning as a private university.

Rakesh Kumar Gupta serves as the Pro-Chancellor of the university. As a private university constituted by a state legislative act, it operates within the regulatory framework applicable to such institutions in Himachal Pradesh.
