Overview
Kruttika Desai is an Indian actress who has worked across film, theatre and television. She rose to early prominence in the 1990s with her appearance in the serial Buniyaad, and went on to feature in the popular fantasy series Chandrakanta, where she played four roles, including that of a Vishkanya.
Over the following two decades, Desai built a varied television career, portraying a wide range of characters in soap operas such as Airhostess, Kismet, Dewaar, Noorjahan, Junoon, Lipstick, Tumhari Disha and Mere Angane Mein. Alongside her acting work, she hosted several television programmes, including Mansi, Superhit Muqabla and Superhit Hangama.
Desai is noted as the first Indian television actress to go bald for a role, which she did for the serial Uttaran. In more recent years, she has been widely recognised for her role in the television series Pandya Store.
