Overview

Kirodi Lal Meena (born 3 November 1951) is an Indian politician and physician serving as a cabinet minister in the Bhajan Lal Sharma ministry in Rajasthan. He holds the portfolios of Agriculture, Horticulture, and Rural Development in the Government of Rajasthan, and represents the Sawai Madhopur constituency in the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly. A member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), he is widely referred to as "Baba" by his supporters.

Meena has had a political career spanning several decades and is recognised for his influence in the tribal communities of eastern Rajasthan, particularly among the Meena community. He has been elected as a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) six times. He has also served twice as a Member of Parliament in the Lok Sabha, representing Sawai Madhopur in the 9th Lok Sabha and Dausa in the 15th Lok Sabha. In addition, he served as a Member of the Rajya Sabha from 2018 to 2023.

In the early 1990s, large community gatherings led by Meena resulted in the establishment of a permanent assembly venue that came to be known as the Meena High Court.
