Khangchendzonga State University is a state public university located in Namchi, in the South Sikkim district of the Indian state of Sikkim. Named after Mount Khangchendzonga, the third-highest mountain in the world and a sacred peak in Sikkimese tradition, the university serves as a state-funded institution of higher education in southern Sikkim.

Background
