The Kerala State Beverages (Manufacturing & Marketing) Corporation Limited, commonly known as Kerala State Beverages Corporation or Bevco, is a public sector undertaking fully owned by the Government of Kerala. It functions as the principal wholesale and retail distributor of Indian-made foreign liquor (IMFL) and beer in the state of Kerala, operating under the administrative control of the state's Excise and Taxation departments.

Overview

The Corporation holds a near-monopoly over the wholesale procurement and distribution of IMFL and beer in Kerala. It purchases liquor directly from manufacturers and distributes it through its own retail outlets, as well as supplying licensed bars, clubs, and the parallel retail network operated by the Kerala State Cooperatives Consumer Federation (Consumerfed). Revenues from Bevco constitute a significant portion of Kerala's state tax income.
