Kanyakumari Government Medical College, commonly referred to as KGMC, is a public medical college located in Nagercoil, in the Kanyakumari district of Tamil Nadu, India. It is one of the medical institutions established by the Government of Tamil Nadu to provide undergraduate medical education and public healthcare in the southern part of the state.
The college is affiliated to the Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, Chennai, which serves as the apex affiliating body for medical, dental and allied health institutions across Tamil Nadu. As a recognised institution, it follows the curriculum and academic regulations prescribed by the university.
KGMC is recognised by the Medical Council of India, the statutory body that has historically regulated medical education and the practice of modern medicine in the country.
