Overview
Kalasalingam Academy of Research and Education (KARE) is a private deemed-to-be university located in Krishnankoil, near Rajapalayam, in the state of Tamil Nadu, India. The institution offers programmes in higher education and research, and is situated close to the ancient temple town of Srivilliputhur.
The institution was originally established as Arulmigu Kalasalingam College of Engineering. It was subsequently known as Kalasalingam University before adopting its current name, Kalasalingam Academy of Research and Education.
As a deemed-to-be university, KARE functions as an autonomous institution of higher learning. Its campus at Krishnankoil serves as the principal centre for its academic and research activities.
