Overview

Kakatiya University is a public university located in Hanumakonda district in the Indian state of Telangana. It draws its name from the Kakatiya dynasty, which historically ruled the Warangal region.

The university offers around 120 programmes at undergraduate and postgraduate levels across the faculties of arts, science, commerce and business management, social sciences, education, engineering and pharmaceutical sciences. Academic activities are spread across constituent and affiliated colleges in twelve districts of Telangana.

According to the source, the university has 248 teaching staff and 622 non-teaching staff supporting its academic and administrative functions.

Kakatiya University was most recently accredited with an "A+" grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) of India in June 2023.
