The Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR) is a multidisciplinary research institute situated at Jakkur in Bengaluru, Karnataka. The centre carries out advanced scientific research across a range of disciplines and functions as an autonomous institution dedicated to fundamental and applied investigations in the sciences.

JNCASR was established by the Department of Science and Technology under the Government of India. It was set up to mark the birth centenary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of independent India, and was conceived as a centre for the promotion of advanced scientific research in the country.

In 2019, JNCASR was placed seventh among the world's top ten research institutes and universities in a normalised ranking compiled by the journal Nature, which assessed institutions on the basis of high-quality research output.
