Jason Kila (born 15 January 1990) is a Papua New Guinean cricketer. A left-handed batsman who bowls slow left-arm orthodox, he has represented Papua New Guinea at age-group and senior international level.

Background

Kila was born in Port Moresby, the capital of Papua New Guinea. He came through the country's age-group cricket structure, representing the Papua New Guinea Under-19s on the international stage before progressing to the senior set-up.

Career

Age-group cricket

Kila played for Papua New Guinea Under-19s in two ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cups, appearing at both the 2008 and 2010 editions of the tournament.

Senior international cricket

He was selected in the Papua New Guinea squad for the 2011 World Cricket League Division Three, where he featured in five matches as the side earned promotion to the 2011 World Cricket League Division Two. It was during this Division Two competition that Kila made his List A debut, against Namibia.

He went on to play a further three List A matches in the tournament, with his final appearance in the competition coming against Hong Kong. Across his four List A matches, Kila scored 75 runs at a batting average of 18.75, with a highest score of 36. With the ball, he took one wicket, conceding 57 runs in the competition overall.
