Overview
Jagadguru Rambhadracharya Divyang University (JRDU), formerly known as Jagadguru Rambhadracharya Handicapped University, is a public state government university located in Chitrakoot, Uttar Pradesh, India. The university was established in 2001 by Jagadguru Rambhadracharya as an institution dedicated to the higher education of persons with disabilities.
The institution is distinctive in its focus, having been founded specifically to provide academic opportunities to differently-abled students. Its renaming reflects the use of the term "Divyang" in place of the earlier nomenclature, in keeping with evolving terminology used in India to refer to persons with disabilities.
