Career
Iqbal Khan established himself on Indian television through roles in soap operas produced for major Hindi general entertainment channels. His on-screen presence and pairing with leading actresses made him a recognised face in prime-time programming.
Television
He played the male lead in Kaaviyanjali, a romantic drama broadcast on Star Plus, which marked one of his earliest prominent appearances. He went on to feature in Kavyanjali and other family dramas, before taking on the lead role of Akbar in the historical fiction series Jodha Akbar, produced by Ekta Kapoor's Balaji Telefilms and aired on Zee TV. The show was a continuation and reimagining of the Mughal-era narrative previously popularised on screen.
