The Institute of Technology, having been the foundation's first technical institute, became central to the new university's engineering education activity. Its programmes are approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
Campus and facilities
The institute operates from the main Nirma University campus in Ahmedabad, which houses departmental laboratories, lecture halls, computing facilities, a central library shared across constituent institutes, residential hostels, and sports and recreational infrastructure.
Significance
The Institute of Technology is regarded as one of the prominent private engineering institutes in Gujarat. It contributes to technical education in western India through its undergraduate engineering admissions, which draw candidates from across the country, and through its research and consultancy activities in collaboration with industry.
