Overview
Indus University, formerly known as the Indus Institute of Higher Education, is a university located in Pakistan. It is chartered by the Government of Sindh and operates as a degree-awarding institution recognised within the country's higher education framework.
The university is recognised by the Higher Engineering Commission of Pakistan (HEC), which has placed it in the top "W" category. In 2013, the Charter Inspection and Evaluation Committee (CIEC) of Pakistan included Indus University in its list of 5 Star Universities of Pakistan.
The institution's names are also rendered in Urdu as انڈس یونیورسٹی and in Sindhi as انڊس يونيورسٽي, reflecting the linguistic context of the region in which it is situated.
