Overview

Indrajith Sukumaran (born 17 December 1979) is an Indian actor and playback singer who works primarily in Malayalam cinema. He has also appeared in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and English-language films. Beginning his career as a child artist in the 1986 film Padayani, he has since featured in more than 90 films, taking on supporting, antagonist and lead roles.

Background

Indrajith entered films as a child artist with Padayani in 1986. As an adult performer, he initially took on supporting and villain roles in Malayalam cinema before transitioning to lead parts.

Career

Early roles and breakthrough

Indrajith's breakthrough came with his portrayal of the antagonist Eapen Pappachi in the blockbuster Meesa Madhavan. He received critical acclaim for his performance as Pious George in Classmates. His first lead role was in the 2003 film Mizhi Randilum, directed by Ranjith.
