Overview
Indian Institute of Management Shillong (IIM Shillong or IIM-S) is a public, fully autonomous management institute located in Shillong, Meghalaya. Established in 2007, it was the seventh Indian Institute of Management to be set up in India.
The institute offers postgraduate, doctoral, and executive programmes in management education, along with Management Development Programmes (MDPs) covering various streams of management. From 2025, IIM Shillong also admits students to the Integrated Programme in Management (IPM), a five-year course.
Admissions
Admission to the postgraduate programmes is based on scores obtained in the Common Admission Test (CAT), followed by extempore and personal interview rounds. Admission to the Integrated Programme in Management is conducted through the IPMAT entrance examination administered by IIM Indore.
Centre for Development of North Eastern Region
The institute houses the Centre for Development of North Eastern Region (CEDNER), which has been constituted to offer programmes relevant to the local community and society of the state and the wider North Eastern region.
