Overview
The Indian Institute of Management Kashipur, commonly known as IIM Kashipur, is a public business school located in Kashipur, Uttarakhand. It is one of the thirteen Indian Institutes of Management established by the Government of India during the Eleventh Five-Year Plan, expanding the network of management institutes across the country.
The foundation stone of the institute was laid on 29 April 2011. As an autonomous institute, IIM Kashipur functions independently in matters of academic governance, curriculum design and administration, in line with the broader framework of the IIM system.
The institute offers a range of management programmes catering to students, working professionals and aspiring researchers. Its flagship offering is the two-year Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGPM). For experienced professionals, IIM Kashipur conducts a two-year Executive Post Graduate Programme in Management (EPGPM). At the doctoral level, the institute runs a residential Fellowship Programme in Management (FPM), which is considered equivalent to a PhD, along with a non-residential Executive Fellowship Programme in Management (EFPM) designed for working professionals pursuing doctoral-level research.
Through this combination of postgraduate, executive and doctoral programmes, IIM Kashipur contributes to management education and research in the Kumaon region of Uttarakhand and forms part of the wider IIM ecosystem in India.
