Overview

Indian Institute of Information Technology, Una (IIIT Una) is a technical institution located at Saloh, Tehsil Haroli, in the Una district of Himachal Pradesh. It is one of the Indian Institutes of Information Technology established under the country's network of specialised institutes focusing on information technology education and research.

The institute was established in 2014 and has been recognised as an Institute of National Importance. It functions as part of the broader scheme of IIITs set up across various states of India to promote higher education and research in information technology and allied disciplines.

IIIT Una operates under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model. It is a joint venture of the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, and the Government of Himachal Pradesh, in association with industry partners. The participating industry partners are Himachal Pradesh Power Corporation and Himachal Pradesh Power Transmission Corporation, which contribute to the institute under the PPP framework adopted for several IIITs in the country.
