The Indian Institute of Information Technology, Kottayam (IIIT Kottayam) is a public technical institute located in Kottayam district, Kerala. Background
IIIT Kottayam is part of a network of IIITs set up by the Ministry of Education (formerly the Ministry of Human Resource Development), Government of India, to expand higher education capacity in information technology. Under the PPP scheme, capital and operational responsibilities are shared between the Union government, the relevant state government and industry partners, while academic governance follows the standard model of centrally funded technical institutions.
