Background
IIITDM Jabalpur was conceived as part of an initiative by the Government of India to create specialised technical institutes that combine the disciplines of information technology, product design and manufacturing. The model emphasises an integrated curriculum in which design thinking, computing and manufacturing systems are taught together, intended to address the engineering needs of Indian industry.
