Overview

The Indian Institute of Information Technology, Bhopal (IIIT-B) is one among the twenty Indian Institutes of Information Technology established under the non-profit Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. The institute was declared an Institute of National Importance under the Indian Institute of Information Technology (Public-Private Partnership) Act, 2017.

The institute presently functions from within the campus of the Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology in Bhopal. A site of 50 acres has been identified for the development of a permanent campus.

IIIT Bhopal offers undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes, including the B.Tech, MCA, M.Tech and Ph.D. degrees. Academic activity covers Information Technology, Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Physics, Mathematics and allied interdisciplinary areas. The institute emphasises research-driven and industry-relevant education in line with the broader objectives of the IIIT system.
