Overview

The Indian Institute of Information Technology, Agartala (IIIT Agartala) is a technical institute located in Tripura, India. It is one of the twenty Indian Institutes of Information Technology established under the non-profit Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model, a scheme through which the central government, the respective state government, and industry partners jointly support the establishment and functioning of the institute.

The institute is presently functioning from a temporary location within the campus of the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Agartala. This arrangement is in place until the construction of its permanent campus is completed.

The permanent campus of IIIT Agartala is being developed on a 52-acre site at Bodhjung Nagar, near Agartala. Once operational, the new campus is expected to house the academic, residential, and administrative facilities of the institute.
