Overview
ICARE Institute of Medical Sciences and Research is a private medical college located in Haldia, West Bengal. Established in 2011, the institute was founded by the Indian Centre for Advancement of Research and Education (ICARE), the society from which it derives its name.
The college offers the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) undergraduate course, along with postgraduate MD programmes in Pathology, Pharmacology, Microbiology and Biochemistry. It is affiliated with the West Bengal University of Health Sciences and is recognised by the National Medical Commission.
For clinical training and patient care, the institute is attached to the Bidhan Chandra Roy Hospital, a 500-bed multispeciality facility that functions as its teaching hospital.
