Kuwajerwala rose to nationwide recognition through his portrayal of Sujal Garewal opposite Aamna Sharif in Kahiin To Hoga, a Balaji Telefilms production that aired on Star Plus from 2003. The pairing became one of the most popular romantic leads on Indian television during the mid-2000s. He has also appeared in other television fiction projects and made guest appearances on various Hindi general entertainment channels.

Reality shows and hosting

In 2005, Kuwajerwala participated in the first season of the celebrity dance competition Nach Baliye on Star One along with his wife Tina, and the couple won the season. He subsequently went on to host later editions of Nach Baliye on Star Plus. He also hosted seasons of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, the Indian version of Strictly Come Dancing, on Sony Entertainment Television and later on Colors TV.
