Overview
Hasan Miyalal Mushrif is an Indian politician affiliated with the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP). He represents the Kagal assembly constituency in Kolhapur district as a member of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly.
Mushrif serves as a cabinet minister in the Government of Maharashtra led by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. He is regarded as one of the senior leaders of the NCP in the Kolhapur region.
On 10 January 2017, Mushrif was among those arrested for blocking traffic on the Pune–Bengaluru national highway during a protest against the effects of demonetisation. Others taken into custody on the same occasion included NCP Member of Parliament Dhananjay Mahadik, former NCP Member of Parliament Nivedita Sambhajirao Mane, Kolhapur mayor Hasina Faras, and around 400 other participants.
