Overview
The Great Lakes Institute of Management (also known as Great Lakes or GLIM) is a private business school in India. The institute operates a campus in Gurugram, in addition to its original campus in Chennai.
Great Lakes was founded in 2004 by Bala V. Balachandran, a professor at the Kellogg School of Management. The first campus of the institute was established in Chennai, and a second campus was subsequently set up in Gurugram to expand its presence in northern India.
The institute offers management education through programmes including its one-year Post-Graduate Program in Management (PGPM). In 2008, the PGPM became the first one-year full-time management programme in India to be accredited by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), the country's higher technical education regulator.
