Overview

The Great Lakes Institute of Management (also known as Great Lakes or GLIM) is a private business school in India. It was founded in 2004 by Bala V. Balachandran, a professor at the Kellogg School of Management. The institute's first campus was established in Chennai.

A second campus was subsequently opened in Gurugram, expanding the institute's presence in northern India. Both campuses offer management education programmes catering to students and working professionals.

Among its programme offerings, the one-year Post-Graduate Program in Management (PGPM) became the first one-year full-time management programme in India to be accredited by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), the country's higher technical education regulator, in 2008.
