Overview
Gerald Coetzee (born 2 October 2000) is a South African cricketer. A fast bowler by trade, he came through the country's age-group system before progressing to senior cricket.
In December 2017, Coetzee was named in South Africa's squad for the 2018 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. He continued to feature in the national youth set-up the following year, when, in January 2019, he was included in the South Africa under-19 squad ahead of their tour to India.
Coetzee is well known for his passionate, aggressive celebrations after taking wickets. His on-field body language has often drawn comparisons to that of the former South African pacer Dale Steyn.
