Overview
George Christopher Hindley Hill (born 24 January 2001) is an English cricketer who plays for Yorkshire. He came through the age-group ranks and served as vice-captain of England's squad at the 2020 Under-19 Cricket World Cup before progressing to the senior county circuit.
Hill made his first-class debut on 15 August 2020, representing Yorkshire in the 2020 Bob Willis Trophy. Later the same month, on 30 August 2020, he made his Twenty20 debut for the county in the 2020 t20 Blast. His List A debut followed on 22 July 2021, in the 2021 Royal London One-Day Cup.
In April 2022, during the 2022 County Championship, Hill recorded his maiden first-class century, an unbeaten 151 against Northamptonshire. He continued to feature regularly for Yorkshire across formats, and in February 2025 he signed a new contract that ties him to the club until the end of the 2028 season. In May 2025, he was named in the England Lions squad for a two-match series against India A.
