Mary Ferrah Leni "Farrah" Fawcett (2 February 1947 – 25 June 2009) was an American actress who rose to international fame for her starring role in the first season of the television series Charlie's Angels. Over the course of her career she received four Primetime Emmy Award nominations and six Golden Globe Award nominations.

Fawcett began her career in the 1960s with commercials and guest roles on television. During the 1970s, she appeared in several television series, including recurring roles on Harry O (1974–1976) and The Six Million Dollar Man (1974–1978), the latter alongside her then-husband, actor Lee Majors. A red swimsuit poster of Fawcett reportedly sold six million copies in its first year in print. In Charlie's Angels, she played private investigator Jill Munroe alongside Kate Jackson and Jaclyn Smith, departing at the end of the first season in 1976 and returning as a guest star in six episodes during the third and fourth seasons (1978–1980). The role brought her a first Golden Globe nomination.

In 1983, Fawcett drew positive reviews for the Off-Broadway play Extremities, and was later cast in its 1986 film adaptation, earning another Golden Globe nomination. She received Emmy Award nominations for her role as a battered wife in The Burning Bed (1984) and for her portrayal of Diane Downs in Small Sacrifices (1989). Her television film work in the 1980s brought four further Golden Globe nominations.

In 1997, Fawcett received strong reviews for her role in the film The Apostle opposite Robert Duvall. In the 21st century, she continued to work on television, with recurring roles on the sitcom Spin City (2001) and the drama The Guardian (2002–2003), the latter earning her a third Emmy nomination. Her film credits also include Love Is a Funny Thing.
