Location and setting

The park lies in Lonavala, a hill town that has long been a weekend destination for residents of Mumbai and Pune due to its proximity to both cities via the Mumbai–Pune Expressway and the old Mumbai–Pune highway (NH 48). Lonavala's elevation and monsoon-fed greenery have made it a hub for resorts, holiday homes and outdoor tourism, and Della Adventure Park forms part of this larger leisure ecosystem alongside attractions such as the Lonavala lakes, Karla and Bhaja caves, and the Imagica theme park near Khopoli.

Activities

The park offers a mix of land-based, water-based and aerial adventure activities, organised across different zones within the property. Typical categories of experiences include:

  • Aerial activities such as zip lines, rope courses and rappelling.
  • Motorised activities including all-terrain vehicle (ATV) rides, dirt-bike trails and buggy rides.
  • Shooting and target sports such as paintball, archery and air-rifle ranges.
  • Water-based activities including swimming and pool-based recreation.
  • Children's rides and family-oriented games.

The park is generally operated on a ticketed-entry model, with packages that bundle access to a set of activities, and additional charges for premium experiences.

Significance

Della Adventure Park is among the better-known adventure parks in Maharashtra and contributes to Lonavala's profile as a short-break tourism destination. By concentrating a wide range of adventure activities at a single site, it caters to corporate outings, school groups and family tourism, supplementing the conventional sightseeing options in the region. It also illustrates the broader trend in Indian leisure tourism of integrated resort-and-adventure properties developed near major metropolitan catchments.
