Location
The school is situated in Jaipur, the capital and largest city of Rajasthan in north-western India. Jaipur is located about 268 km (167 miles) from the national capital, New Delhi. The city was founded in 1727 by Sawai Jai Singh II, the Kachhwaha Rajput ruler of Amer, and is among the earliest planned cities of modern India, designed by Vidyadhar Bhattacharya. It became the capital of the newly formed state of Rajasthan in 1949, two years after Indian independence.
Jaipur is widely known as the Pink City on account of the dominant colour scheme of buildings in its old quarter, and forms part of the Western Golden Triangle tourist circuit along with Delhi and Agra. The city was placed on the UNESCO World Heritage Cities list on 6 July 2019.
