Overview

Deepender Singh Hooda (born 4 January 1978) is an Indian politician affiliated with the Indian National Congress. He has served as a Member of Parliament across five terms, representing constituencies in both the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha.

Hooda entered electoral politics in 2005, at which time he was the youngest parliamentarian. He subsequently served as a Member of Parliament in the Rajya Sabha from Haryana. In 2024, he was elected to the Lok Sabha from the Rohtak constituency.

Within the Indian National Congress, Hooda is a special invitee to the Congress Working Committee, the party's principal decision-making body. He writes frequently on subjects relating to Indian economics and international affairs, with contributions appearing in The Indian Express and other prominent publications.
