Overview

The College of Medicine & J.N.M. Hospital is a government medical college and tertiary referral hospital located in Kalyani, West Bengal. It is affiliated with the West Bengal University of Health Sciences and functions as both a teaching institution and a hospital providing tertiary-level care.

The college is recognised by the National Medical Commission for the MBBS programme as well as for postgraduate medical degrees in selected subjects. In addition to its medical courses, the institution also offers nursing and other paramedical programmes under the State Medical Faculty of West Bengal.

Admission to the undergraduate MBBS programme is conducted on the basis of merit through the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET). The annual MBBS intake is 125 seats from 2019. Admission to paramedical courses is carried out on the basis of merit through the SMFWBEE examination conducted by the State Medical Faculty of West Bengal.
