Overview

Cole Briggs (born 20 August 1997) is a New Zealand cricketer who plays for Auckland. He is known for his batting and made a notable start to his List A career.

Briggs made his List A debut on 19 February 2021 for Auckland in the 2020–21 Ford Trophy. On debut, he scored 101 runs and, alongside Sean Solia, established a new first-wicket partnership record for Auckland of 226 runs. In the following match, he top-scored for the side with 99 runs and added another century stand with Solia.

He made his first-class debut on 18 March 2021 for Auckland in the 2020–21 Plunket Shield season. Later that year, on 17 December 2021, he made his Twenty20 debut for Auckland in the 2021–22 Men's Super Smash, thereby completing his entry into all three major formats of domestic cricket in New Zealand.
