Overview
Brainware University is a private university situated in Barasat, Kolkata, in the Indian state of West Bengal. It was established on 25 February 2016 as a state unitary university.
The university is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and has the right to confer degrees in accordance with Section 22(1) of the UGC Act, 1956.
