Bhootnath metro station is a planned rapid transit station on the Blue Line (Corridor-2) of the Patna Metro, the urban mass transit system serving the city of Patna, the capital of Bihar, India. The station is being developed as part of the east–west corridor of the network, which links Danapur in the west with Khemnichak in the east, passing through several major residential and commercial localities of the city.

Background
The Patna Metro project was approved by the Union Cabinet in February 2019 to address growing traffic congestion and the need for a modern public transport backbone in Patna. The system has been planned with two corridors: the Red Line (Corridor-1) running broadly north–south between Danapur Cantonment and Mithapur, and the Blue Line (Corridor-2) running east–west between Patna Junction (with extensions toward Danapur) and Khemnichak via the New Indian State Bank of India in the central spine of the city. Bhootnath metro station forms one of the stops along this east–west corridor.
The implementation of the project is being carried out by the Patna Metro Rail Corporation Limited, a special purpose vehicle constituted for the purpose, with technical and financial support involving the Government of India, the Government of Bihar, and external development partners.
Location and connectivity
The station is sited in the Bhootnath Road area in eastern Patna, a corridor known for dense residential settlement and access to several arterial roads. The locality connects to Kankarbagh, New Bypass Road, and the surrounding neighbourhoods, providing potential interchange with city bus services and intermediate public transport.
Significance
As an intermediate station on the Blue Line, Bhootnath metro station is intended to improve last-mile access for residents of eastern Patna to the central business district and to the wider metro network. Stations along Corridor-2 are expected to ease road traffic on the Bailey Road–Bypass Road axis and offer faster commutes between residential suburbs and employment centres.
