Bhayavadar is a small town in the Upleta region of Rajkot district in the Saurashtra peninsula of Gujarat. The station provides rail connectivity to nearby towns and serves both passenger and local goods traffic typical of branch-line stations in the region.
Network context
The Saurashtra rail network, of which Bhayavadar is a part, was historically developed under the princely-era Bhavnagar State Railway and Saurashtra Railway, before being merged into the Western Railway zone after the reorganisation of Indian Railways in 1951.
