Overview
Bhawani Singh (1931–2011) was the titular Maharaja of Jaipur, a princely lineage in the Indian state of Rajasthan. He was the head of the erstwhile royal house of Jaipur in the post-independence era, after the merger of the princely state into the Union of India and the subsequent abolition of privy purses and titles.

Background
The royal house of Jaipur traces its lineage to the Kachhwaha Rajputs, who ruled the Amber–Jaipur state for several centuries before its accession to independent India. After the 26th Constitutional Amendment of 1971, hereditary titles and privy purses associated with former princely states were formally abolished; however, the heads of these houses continued to be referred to by their traditional titles in cultural and ceremonial contexts.
Bhawani Singh inherited this position as the head of the Jaipur royal family. The family seat is associated with the City Palace in Jaipur, and the house remains connected with several heritage properties in Rajasthan.
Significance
As a public figure linked to one of the most prominent former princely houses of India, Bhawani Singh remained a recognisable representative of Rajasthan's royal heritage during his lifetime.
