Bharuch high-speed railway station is a planned railway station in the city of Bharuch, in the state of Gujarat, India. It is being developed as one of the intermediate stations on the Mumbai–Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail Corridor, India's first high-speed rail project, which is being implemented by the National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL).

Overview
The station is part of the high-speed rail corridor connecting Mumbai in Maharashtra with Ahmedabad in Gujarat. The corridor is designed to operate Shinkansen-based rolling stock and signalling technology, drawing on Japanese expertise under a bilateral cooperation agreement between the Government of India and the Government of Japan, with funding support from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
Bharuch is one of twelve stations planned along the corridor. It will serve the industrial and urban region around Bharuch, an important town on the southern bank of the Narmada river, historically significant as a port and presently as a centre for chemical and petrochemical industries.
Background
The Mumbai–Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail project was approved by the Government of India and formally launched in 2017. The alignment passes largely through Maharashtra, the Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli, and Gujarat, with a majority of the stations located in Gujarat. The corridor includes stations at Mumbai (Bandra Kurla Complex), Thane, Virar, Boisar, Vapi, Bilimora, Surat, Bharuch, Vadodara, Anand/Nadiad, Ahmedabad and Sabarmati.
Construction packages along the Gujarat segment, including civil works for stations and viaducts, have been awarded by NHSRCL to Indian construction companies, with progressive completion of foundation, pier and viaduct work along the alignment.
Location and connectivity
The high-speed station at Bharuch is being built separately from the existing Bharuch Junction railway station on the Western Railway's Mumbai–Ahmedabad main line. It is intended to provide rapid connectivity between Bharuch and the major economic centres of Surat, Vadodara, Ahmedabad and Mumbai, complementing the conventional rail and road links via National Highway 48.
Significance
The station is expected to reduce travel time between Bharuch and other corridor cities significantly compared with conventional rail services. It is also seen as a catalyst for regional economic activity, particularly given Bharuch's role in the Dahej–Bharuch industrial belt, which includes large chemical, petrochemical and port-related installations.
