Overview

Bharat Popli (born 30 May 1990) is an Indian-born New Zealand first-class cricketer who represents Northern Districts in domestic cricket. He received his schooling at Tauranga Boys' College before progressing through the New Zealand domestic system.

Popli came to wider attention during the 2015–16 Plunket Shield season, when he finished as the leading run-scorer with a tally of 1,149 runs. This performance helped establish him as a prominent batsman in New Zealand's first-class circuit.

He made his List A debut for Northern Districts on 22 January 2017, appearing in the 2016–17 Ford Trophy. In June 2018, he was awarded a contract with Northern Districts for the 2018–19 season, continuing his association with the side.
