Belgahna railway station is a small railway station situated in the Bilaspur district of the state of Chhattisgarh, India. It serves the village of Belgahna and the surrounding rural settlements, and lies on one of the principal trunk routes of Indian Railways traversing central India.

Location and setting
Belgahna lies in the hilly, forested belt of the Maikal range in northern Chhattisgarh, between the divisional headquarters town of Bilaspur and the junction at Pendra Road. The terrain in this stretch consists of ghats, tunnels and curving alignments as the line ascends from the Chhattisgarh plain towards the Maikal escarpment.
Line and connectivity
The station is on the Bilaspur–Katni section, an important broad-gauge corridor that links the coal-bearing regions of central India with the rest of the country. The route forms part of the wider Howrah–Mumbai connection via Katni and Jabalpur, carrying both passenger services and significant freight, including coal traffic from the Korba and adjoining coalfields.
Nearby stations on the same line include Bilaspur Junction to the south and Pendra Road to the north.
Administration
Belgahna falls under the Bilaspur railway division of the South East Central Railway (SECR) zone, which has its headquarters at Bilaspur. The SECR was formed on 1 April 2003 by reorganising parts of the former South Eastern Railway and Central Railway zones.
Significance
While Belgahna is a halt-class station of modest size, it provides essential rail access for residents of a hilly and partly tribal hinterland that has limited road connectivity. Passenger trains stopping here connect local commuters to the larger urban centres of Bilaspur and the towns along the Katni route.
